For your AI agent
Let your agent try to kill it first.
Hand Skyptic to the AI you already talk to. It runs every check and brings back the verdict, with the number behind each line. You decide what gets sent, and you send it.
Say this to your agent
I think I found a moving object. Before I tell anyone, run Skyptic on these observations and tell me what killed it, or what is left standing. Show me the number behind each check. <paste your detections, ADES file or a sentence with a time and a position>
Run Skyptic's batch check on last night's candidates and rank them worst first. For any survivor, show me its desk and the file Skyptic wrote, and tell me what I still have to fill in before I send it.
Ask Skyptic how often each of its verdicts has been right, and tell me, in plain words, how much to trust each one before I act on it.
Three ways to connect it
hosted connector
One link to paste
A single address you paste into an agent app's connector settings, with nothing to install: https://www.skyptic.app/mcp (MCP over Streamable HTTP; the tools are check, batch and rates). Paste it, and your agent has the tools.
over the web
Over the web
Any agent that can make a web request can call Skyptic. There is no account and no key.
curl -X POST https://www.skyptic.app/api/check \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"text": "<your rows, or a sentence>", "station": "X07"}'
Many candidates at once: /api/batch. Measured accuracy: /api/rates. Add "private": true and the four checks that send positions out are skipped (see Privacy below). The shape of every verdict is a JSON Schema.
llms.txt
For agents that read the web
Point an agent at /llms.txt. It says what Skyptic is, how to call it, and how to read each verdict.
Privacy: what leaves, and when
Skyptic keeps nothing you send, but to run its checks it asks four outside services about your rows. Pass "private": true and none of the four is asked. Who they are, and what each is asked, is on How it works.
What your agent gets back
KNOWN, SATELLITE, STAR, NOT_ONE_BODY, NO_ORBIT: something explains the candidate away, and the line says what. STATIC: a fixed source, for another desk. EARTHBOUND: near the Earth, and no catalogued satellite matches. HELD: nothing killed it yet, and it lists what it needs. SURVIVOR: every check passed; it names the desk, the ACK phrase, the object type, and an ADES file to fill in and send, test door first. Every verdict carries the date of every catalogue it read, so anyone can run it again.
